Our motto: We can do better.

After launching Erotica Republic we were absolutely amazed (and saddened) by the number of extremely talented authors we’ve encountered who have not been able to get published. We asked ourselves, what are these publishers thinking? Then we thought, we can do better.

We looked at what other e-publishers are doing. We found that many pay royalties of 35% or less. We decided, we can do better, so we pay our authors a royalty of 65%.

We found that many publishers bind their authors with contracts containing things such as “right of first refusal” clauses. Once again, we can do better. We want our authors to be the happiest in the industry. We believe our customers benefit from happy authors who have the freedom to write for the love of writing, and not because they are contractually obligated. One thing we will never do is get in the way of any of our authors doing what’s best for them. If an author is given a better offer elsewhere, not only are they free to accept it, but they have our best wishes, as well as our heartfelt thanks for the time they shared with us—and of course they will always be welcome to come back.
