Joel Silver has been responsible for some of Hollywood’s biggest franchises, including “The Matrix,” “Die Hard,” “Predator,” and “Lethal Weapon.”
So it’s understandable that the legendary producer is attracted to very splashy, Hollywood-style real estate.
His most recent production is the listing of a coral-colored, 25,000-square-foot estate in upscale L.A.’s Brentwood Circle. It’s on the market for $52 million.
The plot twist is that this one has been on and off the market over the past couple of years. It was initially listed for $77.5 million in 2020, then $75 million in 2021. The posh property was relisted on Aug. 30 for $49 million—with the price going up to $52 million the very next day.

Signature Silver production
The 4.56-acre estate is a signature Silver production. He bought the property for $3.3 million in 1988. He razed the existing house, then built this modernist mansion designed by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta.
Interesting details include the stone pillars in a skylit rotunda, rough-hewn wood beams, and a graduated dining room ceiling that seems to have been inspired by Mayan pyramids.

There’s plenty of room here for a VIP cast and crew, as the massive mansion has eight bedrooms and 10 baths. Among the bedrooms are dual primary suites with walk-in closets, ornate marble bathrooms, and a shared den.
